Johnson County Homeless Count

The homeless count is an attempt to have a "point-in-time" snapshot of those individuals and families in the county who are struggling with homelessness, in order that agencies are better able to understand and serve these members of our community.

Being homeless can mean literally sleeping on the street, in a tent, in a car, or in an abandonded buliding. It can also mean being "doubled-up" or sleeping on a friend or family member's floor or couch.

The January 2014 homeless count is complete; check out the Homeless Count page on this site for more information.

The next Johnson County homeless count will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014, and volunteers are needed.

For more information contact one of the co-coordinators: Suzy Latare at 660-864-1387, Erica Collins at 660-890-8101, or Joel Kurz at 660-747-6742, or visit the Homeless Count page on this websiste.
